Brink’s Brazil Deploys Veeam to Mitigate Against Ransomware Attacks and Protect Business-critical Systems

Secure logistics and payment services provider bolsters business resilience and transforms backup efficiency

This was a time and resource intensive process, which frequently exceeded our scheduled backup windows.”

Brink’s Brazil chose Veeam Backup & Replication™ initially, and recently opted to extend the deployment to Veeam Availability Suite, adding the comprehensive monitoring capabilities of Veeam ONE™. The company worked with SoftwareOne to replace its tape-based backups with Veeam software and high-performance disk arrays, accelerating backups of 500 virtual machines (VMs) with several TBs of data. Thanks to Veeam, Brink’s Brazil now backs up its systems hourly rather than daily, minimizing the business impact of an outage.

The company has also bolstered its protection against cyberattacks and boosted backup efficiency. Next on the agenda, Brink’s Brazil will connect on-premises Veeam Backup & Replication archives to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The move will slash the cost and complexity of long-term data retention for the company.
