Allows Cloud Service Providers to Enable Private, Secure File Sharing, Storage, and Backup for Small and Medium Sized Customers

SANTA CLARA, CA – January 14 , 2014 — Ensim Corporation, a leading provider of automation and orchestration solutions to service providers and enterprises for users and organizations with business applications, services and infrastructure in private, public, and hybrid clouds, today announced two new Storage as a Service (STaaS) Solutions. Among the latest offerings are Ensim File Manager and Ensim Backup Manager, which allow cloud service providers to quickly enable private, secure file storage, sharing and backup for their customers under their own brand name and from their own datacenter. Ensim’s portfolio of StaaS products also include connectors for popular industry services like Mozy, the trusted online backup service backed by VMware and EMC Corporation for consumers and businesses around the world.

Leveraging Microsoft File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) and IIS technologies, Ensim STaaS Solutions can easily be deployed with existing applications and services such as Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync. The storage solution infrastructure can be conveniently managed by Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 / Hyper V for dynamic scalability as more capacity is needed.  The full complement of applications and services can be automated and managed by the Ensim Automation Suite for an end-to-end BSS and OSS solution with ordering, service catalog, billing, provisioning, and management.

Organizational and user-level quotas can be established and enforced in a reservation-based model and alerts can be set to inform customers when thresholds are hit so more capacity can be added or reallocated between users when needed. Customers can also order on a pay-per-use model to add capacity as desired and pay only for what is used.

Ensim File Manager provides a simple, private, secure and low-cost way for service providers to offer web-accessible folder capabilities to customers while also leveraging the benefit of enterprise-like security and user provisioning features. Organization administrators can set user quotas and select sharing policies such as internal-only or external authorization and assign polices to different users to maintain data security. The easy-to-use portal allows users to upload, download or delete files via browser-based agentless operation. There is no cumbersome registration process for recipients, making it simpler to share files, sub-folders or the master folder with designated users inside or outside of the organization.

Ensim Backup Manager enables cloud service providers to offer a complete and cost-effective solution to meet their customers’ needs. The client application is Java-based and can run on Windows, Mac, or Linux OS and backup PCs and servers. From the easy-to-use interface, users choose the files or file types and setup an automatic backup schedule; Ensim Backup Manager then runs continually in the background ensuring new and changed files are backed up automatically.

“Ensuring critical files are properly backed up to prevent data loss but also able to be shared conveniently between appropriate users is essential to SMBs and line-of-business units,” said Agatha Poon, 451 Research. “ Ensim’s latest STaaS solutions, including secure sharing and data backup, fill growing demands from business-oriented service providers looking to  accommodate customers’ evolving storage requirements.”

“Maintaining customer data and security integrity in service provider datacenters and in country is crucial in today’s security-conscious world.  With our latest Storage as a Service Solutions, Ensim enables cloud service providers to accommodate all of their customers’ storage needs under their own platform and with their own brand,” said Dave Wippich, CEO of Ensim.

New feature directly available for all partners in the BackupAgent Partner Program

Amsterdam, June 26, 2012 — / — BackupAgent, the leading provider of cloud backup software for service providers, today released version 4.2 of its cloud backup platform, containing a major new feature ‘Unlimited Distribution Tiers’.

The feature allows service providers to create unlimited layers of tenants in their BackupAgent Platform. Every tenant can have its own branding and service settings, making the BackupAgent Cloud Backup Platform commercially extremely scalable.

Nowadays most service providers work through channel partners to sell their cloud services, sometimes even multiple channel layers before a service reaches the end-users. Each channel layer wants to manage its own customers group, monitor backup accounts, adjust the settings of the service and brand the backup service as its own. With ‘Unlimited Distribution Tiers’, this is made possible and very easy manageable too.

The new feature has been completely integrated into BackupAgent’s API. Moreover multiple tiers can be distributed through all 3rd party control panels BackupAgent integrates with, such as Parallels Automation, Citrix Cloud Portal Services Manager, WHMCS, ExtendASP and Ensim Unify.

“We are incredibly excited with the release of this new version of our cloud backup platform. Many of our partners requested the availability of multiple layers of tenants and we are happy to satisfy the demands now”, says Robbert van Geldrop, CTO of BackupAgent.

BackupAgent was founded in 2005 and is a privately held company with headquarters in Delft, The Netherlands. New Offering from the Leader in Cloud Server Backup

HOUSTON, TX, Apr 24, 2012 –/– R1Soft(R), a division of Idera and the developer of Continuous Data Protection(R) (CDP) backup and recovery software for servers in the cloud, today announced CloudCopy(TM), secure online backup software for Internet service providers (ISPs), enabling them to offer cloud backup services to homes and small businesses. CloudCopy enables providers to offer online backup services competitive with existing services from companies like Carbonite, Inc. and Mozy by Decho Corporation, a subsidiary of EMC Corporation.

The CloudCopy workstation client performs automated backups of desktop computers running Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, or Linux operating systems. CloudCopy server client software for Microsoft Windows Servers provides small office servers with automated cloud backup including support for Microsoft SQL Server and Exchange.

“Why shouldn’t a consumer have just as many choices for online cloud backup as they do for web hosting or domain name registration?” said David Wartell, Vice President of R1Soft Products at Idera. “Everyone in the business knows the barrier to entry in online backup is the software, and the existing providers like Carbonite, Mozy, Backblaze, and CrashPlan, all develop their own. CloudCopy will bring thousands of new service providers into the growing multi-billion dollar online backup market.”

ISPs use their existing data centers and infrastructure and simply install the CloudCopy repository and management software on commodity Windows servers in their data centers. A fully-configured, white-labeled online backup service offering takes less than a day to set up. The CloudCopy management server software integrates with popular ISP billing software including: Parallels Business Automation Standard, Citrix EMS Cortex, Extend ASP, Ensim Unify, WHCMS, and Kaseya.

R1Soft will immediately make CloudCopy software available to its existing customer base of over 1,000 cloud, hosting, and ISPs that already use the R1Soft CDP software to back up the Windows and Linux servers in their data centers.

About R1Soft
R1Soft is a division of Idera and the developer of Continuous Data Protection(R) (CDP), scalable and high-performance backup software for Windows and Linux servers in the cloud. Recognized as the leading commercial backup software in hosted services, R1Soft CDP is currently used by over 1,000 Cloud infrastructure providers and protects more than 200,000 servers worldwide.
