IDrive Online Backup Launches Sync, Improves Plans with Even More Storage Space

LOS ANGELES, CA – March 27, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — IDrive Inc., leading cloud backup and storage provider, today announced the addition of Sync functionality to its service. To celebrate, IDrive is offering improved plans with more storage space while maintaining their current pricing structure.

New service plans are as follows:

• 600GB for $49.50/year (300GB of Backup/300GB of Sync)
• 2 TB for $149.50/year (1TB of Backup/1TB of Sync)
• 4 TB for $299.50/year (2TB of Backup/2TB of Sync)
• 8 TB for $499.50/year (4TB of Backup/4TB of Sync)

Adding Sync allows files (and changes made to them) to instantly sync across all linked devices. All data is secured client-side using 256-bit AES encryption, with optional private key encryption as another level of protection. Private key encryption is rare amongst sync services but highly beneficial as it makes data accessible only to the user, never being stored on the cloud provider’s servers.

IDrive’s service offering includes the ability to backup/sync an unlimited number of devices, easy file/folder sharing, and IDrive Express, a free cloud seeding service for faster data backup/restore that sidesteps bandwidth by transferring data via physical hard drive.
