Global backup solutions leader continues its corporate culture of giving back

MARLBOROUGH, MA – April 29, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Sepaton, Inc., maker of the world’s fastest and most scalable data protection solutions for large enterprises, once again delivered on its corporate culture of giving back by organizing a book drive to benefit U.S. Armed Forces through Operation Paperback.

As part of Operation Paperback, Sepaton is conducting a book drive amongst its employees as a show of appreciation.  Books in good condition that may include bestsellers, biographies, works of fiction or science fiction, for example, are the books troops want.  Parting with them will allow troops to sit and enjoy some time to escape.

Operation Paperback sends Sepaton Troop book requests and mailing addresses.  Sepaton volunteers will sort and mail those books directly to the Troops.  Operation Paperback began in 1999, sending its first shipments to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. They have since shipped books to many overseas locations as well as to military and veterans hospitals located within the United States, as well as USO centers at US Airport transit points. In 2012, they also added a new program that offers a free shipment of books to any military family.

Sepaton continues its commitment of giving back. For the past three years, Sepaton has partnered with United Way, reaching out to help low-income families and children in the Marlborough area and has been a recipient of the ‘Good Neighbor Award’ for its financial and gift contributions to the Hope for the Holidays program.

John Notaro, Sepaton employee and organizer of the company’s participation in Operation Paperback, said, “Sepaton’s employees are so committed to jumping in and supporting many worthy causes.  The men and women of the Armed Forces have sacrificed much with long tours of duty in very dangerous locations.  We all wanted to help bring even a little peace, relaxation and enjoyment to their day.”

Mike Thompson, president and CEO of Sepaton, Inc. believes successful businesses are also defined by their contributions to the world in which they are a part.  “Giving back to our local community as well as the broader community that does so much to serve each of us is a privilege we are honored to have.  Companies have a responsibility as benefactors of the work our Troops do to recognize them with acts of appreciation and support.  We are honored to participate in Operation Paperback and I’m proud of our employees for initiating these activities for Sepaton.”
