Spanning Appoints Garrett Jones as VP of Sales to Fuel Company Growth

Former Symantec Channel Chief to Lead Global Expansion Efforts

His appointment comes at a time when Spanning’s global growth is accelerating through deeper relationships with leading Google Apps resellers and Salesforce.com consultants. Forty percent of Spanning’s revenue now comes from international customers who use the company’s solutions to eliminate the risk, cost and consequences of cloud application data loss.

In his new role, Jones is charged with building and developing new elements of Spanning’s multi-channel sales efforts and shaping the programs and processes that will help further fuel the company’s international momentum. He most recently served as VP of Global Channel Operations at Symantec, where his team led the development of the company’s global channel strategy and redesigned its partner programs. With more than 20 years of experience in channel sales, business development and strategic alliances, Jones also spent time working for Dell Inc. across the U.S., U.K. / Ireland and Asia-Pacific.
