Venyu Assumes Lead Sponsorship of Triple-S — World’s Biggest, Most Prestigious Kiteboarding Event

BATON ROUGE, LA – May 15, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Venyu, a leader in business continuity, cloud-based virtualization, and battle-tested data recovery, today announced the company has become the primary sponsor of the world’s biggest, most prestigious kiteboarding event – the Triple-S Invitational.  Now referred to as the Venyu Triple-S Invitational, the invite-only kiteboarding competition begins Saturday, May 31 and runs through Friday, June 6 in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, and features the planet’s best kiteboarders such as five-time World Champion Aaron Hadlow, Greg Norman Jr. (son of legendary golfer Greg Norman), bulldog Billy Parker whose pier-jump video went viral last year, and many others.

Venyu’s CEO Scott Thompson is a kiteboarding enthusiast and sees his company’s sponsorship of the Venyu Triple-S Invitational as a means to advance the sport’s popularity. “Kiteboarding is thrilling and constantly evolving,” Thompson said. “Venyu is proud to help showcase this fast-growing and exciting sport, as well as eager to see the results of this year’s considerable competition.”

Founded in 2006, The Venyu Triple-S is the brainchild of REAL Co-Founder Trip Forman and REAL team rider Jason Slezak. The purpose of the event was to bring the best riders in the world to Cape Hatteras with dreams of advancing the sport’s style and popularity. Today the Venyu Triple-S will feature a new style of competition, changing the SURF discipline from kitesurfing in the waves to wake-style kickers and freestyle in the waves.
