  VMware Storage Architect Cormac Hogan and Nimble’s Rochna Dhand will demo Nimble’s implementation of VVols, and discuss how Storage Policy Based Management allows for granular control of virtual disks, while simplifying storage management.
• EUC2124: Breaking Down the Silos: Using Converged Infrastructure for an Optimized Desktop Virtualization (VDI) Deployment
  Tuesday, Aug 26, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  Nimble customer, Hamilton Clermont Cooperative Association (HCCA), which provides IT services to the Hamilton and Clermont school districts, will describe how they were able to optimize performance, provide both inside/outside staff with the same toolsets/applications, and minimize the organization’s overall data footprint and maintenance needs as a result of its successful VDI deployment. They will also discuss how deploying desktop and server virtualization on Nimble’s converged infrastructure, SmartStack, allows them to better manage performance, storage requirements, and disaster recovery.

  Umesh Maheshwari, Nimble’s cofounder and chief technology officer, and Radhika Krishnan, the company’s vice president of solutions and alliances, will discuss the wide variety of flash-based storage solutions such as all-flash arrays, hybrid flash-and-disk arrays, and host-attached flash.
