New Box Workflow Technology to Power Industry Solutions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 03, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Box today unveiled Box for Industries, a set of enterprise content collaboration solutions aimed at transforming how businesses across verticals work with information. Box co-founder and CEO Aaron Levie announced Box’s strategy to build tailored offerings for industries before an audience of customers and developers at BoxWorks, and showcased three initial solutions: Box for Healthcare, Box for Retail and Box for Media & Entertainment. These solutions are underpinned by Box Workflow, a new technology that powers intelligent business processes on the Box platform.

“Every industry is experiencing information-driven transformation differently,” said Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box. “The first wave of the cloud empowered people to be more mobile, productive and collaborative. Now we have an opportunity to move beyond organic, user-driven productivity gains, and change the very processes and even businesses models that define the way organizations across verticals operate and compete.”

Box’s tailored solutions for industries are powered by Box Workflow, a new product that reimagines business processes in the cloud. It combines Box’s core content collaboration platform with automation and metadata, creating workflow that’s rules based, intelligent and open. Box Workflow leverages proprietary machine learning technology to intelligently and automatically classify, surface and recommend Box content.

Box also announced that it has formed an alliance with Accenture to help accelerate adoption of the Box for Industries solutions.

“Our enterprise clients are seeking industry-specific platforms to help them drive their businesses forward and address business outcomes, like improved productivity, increased revenue and the ability to quickly introduce new products and services,” said Paul Daugherty, Accenture’s chief technology officer. “We are excited about our alliance with Box and look forward to working together on the Box for Industries solutions because it aligns with what are clients are telling us they need: enhanced file sharing, cohesive collaboration, and an improved way to manage content — across devices that can be integrated on different platforms.”
