Alliance Between AT&T and Box to Drive Secure Mobile Productivity

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 04, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Box, a cloud platform that helps businesses securely store, share and manage content, and AT&T* will work together to bring highly secure, enterprise-grade cloud and mobility solutions to businesses of all sizes.

As a result of the alliance, AT&T business customers will be able to use AT&T NetBondSM as their highly secure “on ramp” to the Box cloud. AT&T NetBond enables customers to connect to cloud services using their AT&T Virtual Private Network (VPN), which delivers highly secure connections with high reliability and performance capabilities rather than relying on access to cloud services via the public Internet. AT&T NetBond uses patented technology and dynamically scales networking resources as a company’s cloud needs change.

The cloud capabilities announced by AT&T and Box build on the companies’ work to integrate Box into AT&T Toggle®, AT&T’s bring-your-own-device solution. Together, these solutions will provide companies with secure cloud-based collaboration, from virtually any device, and help them be more flexible and efficient.

“Companies want to move their content to the cloud to power increased mobile productivity and collaboration across their businesses,” said Whitney Bouck, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Box. “Together, Box and AT&T will deliver a unified solution that makes it incredibly easy for users to access their content from virtually any device and get work done, while giving businesses the enterprise-grade security, reliability and performance they need.”

Box integrated with AT&T Toggle and NetBond creates a highly secure mobile workspace for business content and collaboration. Users will be able to easily access and save their business-related content – such as documents, presentations, images and videos – to Box, while keeping it separate from other personal content on the device. AT&T Toggle with Box is targeted for release in early 2015. The new Box – AT&T NetBond solution is expected to be available in the first half of 2015.

“Box and AT&T are a powerful combination that provides companies with transformative solutions to mobilize their business while giving them streamlined access to the content they need for greater and enriched collaboration,” said Abhi Ingle, SVP Advanced Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions. “As we look to expand our offerings with Box, businesses will benefit from the ability to securely store information in the cloud and access it from virtually anywhere.”

Today’s announcement with AT&T complements Box’s announcements from yesterday’s keynote, where Box co-founder and CEO, Aaron Levie, unveiled enhancements to several Box products, including Box Notes; introduced Box Workflow, a new product that reimagines business processes in the cloud; and Box for Industries, a new initiative to deliver end to end solutions tailored to specific industries, such as Retail, Healthcare and Media & Entertainment. In addition, the company also announced the availability of Box Retention Management and new metadata capabilities.

“Getting work done anywhere, from any device, is the new norm. Integrating Box cloud infrastructure with AT&T solutions such as AT&T NetBond and Toggle enhances workforce productivity. The creation of on-demand, highly secure solutions give CIOs the peace of mind they need in a mobilized world,” says René Dufrene, AVP AT&T Business Solutions. “Box is an important addition to our growing AT&T NetBond roster and will help further accelerate enterprise cloud adoption.”
