F-Secure-powered KPN Up lets customers stream, share and access their photos and videos anywhere.

HELSINKI, FINLAND – October 3, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — F-Secure and Dutch telecommunications leader KPN have expanded their partnership to provide free secure online storage services to KPN internet subscribers. With its new service Up, which is powered by F-Secure’s safe, private cloud, KPN customers will be able to store and manage all their personal files, such as photos, videos, music and documents, in a personal storage service.

Consumers’ digital content is often scattered across an array of devices and online services. KPN Up will enable KPN customers to get their digital stuff in order in one place. F-Secure’s cloud is unique in allowing consumers to also integrate content from other online services, such as Facebook and Dropbox. All content stored in the cloud can be accessed, streamed and shared via any device – smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers. The foundation of F-Secure’s cloud services is privacy, so KPN Up users can be sure their content is safe.

KPN Up users will always have access to their photos and videos, regardless of where they are and what device they have with them. Photos, videos, music and documents are stored in a central and secure place at KPN, only accessible by the customer. KPN Up is ideal for those who already use a service to centrally store personal files, such as Picasa, Google+ and Dropbox. These services can be linked to KPN Up so they can be accessed to view on any device. Files in other cloud services use no storage from KPN Up.

KPN strives to make its customers’ connected lives as easy, convenient and safe as possible. F-Secure has been a valued partner with KPN, sharing the same goals. KPN and F-Secure are proud to offer cloud services that fulfill their promise of security and other features people love – like sharing, connecting, and streaming with ease and simplicity.

“KPN subscribers will now really be able to get the most out of their content,” says Jyrki Tulokas, Vice President, Product Management at F-Secure. “The new personal cloud service is intuitive to use from any device. Users will appreciate that the service is constantly developing with new capabilities. Great services like KPN Up, that customers really use and trust, are what help build loyalty between an operator and its customers.”

The number one security partner for operators worldwide, F-Secure offers safe cloud services through more than 100 operators globally. F-Secure securely stores billions of photos, videos, documents, and other files for millions of end customers. F-Secure’s ever- increasing cloud content currently makes up tens of petabytes of data.

KPN Up is available for Android and Windows Phone 8 smartphones and tablets, and for PC and Mac computers and laptops; the iOS version will be available at the end of October. All KPN home internet subscribers will be able to use KPN Up from 1 October. Customers get 5GB free for storing photos, videos and music. Fiber package customers get 25GB, and there is a possible expansion to 150 GB.
