DUBAI, UAE – December 30, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Jumbo Electronics, part of the Jumbo Group, has turned to Microsoft Office 365 to improve communication and collaboration among employees and reduce costs. Around 800 employees to-date have benefited from the unique offering of Office 365 which reduced communication barriers across the organization, enhanced information sharing among the business units, transferred knowledge amongst employees and drive market agility.

Initially dependant on the Exchange Server 2003, Jumbo Electronics were in a predicament when its support expired in 2011. The company then decided to support the system internally with its own staff which proved to be insufficient for the growing organization. Eventually, storage space wasn’t enough for each employee limiting them to use their e-mails very selectively.

After exploring several options, Jumbo Electronics favored Microsoft Office 365 to offer the much needed solutions such as worry –free email supported by Microsoft from the cloud, large storage backup, unlimited archiving at low costs, SharePoint enabled intranet to be used across other business departments and Lync-based communication from PC to PC, driving easier communication.

“With the rapid increase in data growth and employee headcount, Jumbo Group was seeking a robust, scalable communication, collaboration and information management platform to improve its operations effectively. Microsoft Office 365 came in as the best recommendation after an in-depth analysis and comparison with other messaging platforms.“ Said V.Suresh, CIO, Jumbo Group.

“This collaboration with Microsoft will help us tackle data storage challenges and improve our ability to effectively communicate across the organization with access to emails in the cloud. We can now better empower our employees with information anytime, anywhere across any platform to provide the best in class experience for our customers.” He added.

Ihsan Anabtawi, Microsoft Office Division Business Group Lead at Microsoft Gulf said “At Microsoft, we are obsessed with providing our customers with technology innovation that enables them to be more productive in a mobile-first, cloud-first world. The move to Office 365 will provide greater efficiency to Jumbo Electronics in managing cross-division processes, including data and analytics, as well as documentation management and reporting.”

As a result of this implementation, almost 700 employees are able to use email freely without worrying about storage capacity thereby increasing communication across the company, it is easy to manage costs with fixed prices, unlimited storage and measurable TCO, a significant reduction in support costs and improvement in email reliability. After the move to Office 365 E3 the company now no longer requires a dedicated employee to support users with email problems.

Office 365 is one of the fastest growing businesses in Microsoft history. Microsoft recently increased the amount of cloud storage that it provides to Office 365 accounts to 1 terabyte across the service, bringing more capacity to anyone who pays for Office.
