NORWALK, CT – January 14, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — Datto, the preferred global provider of comprehensive data backup, recovery and business continuity solutions, witnessed a banner year of growth in 2014, marked by its acquisition of Backupify. With over 5 million business customers and 8,000 partners worldwide, Datto also expanded to a new office in Rochester, New York; earned 67 IT, business and executive awards; and launched six new products in 2014 as part of its mission create the first complete platform to safeguard business data, everywhere it lives.

Product launches
Since its founding, Datto has been committed to designing technology to create a total data protection platform for customers. Datto’s 2014 new product launches included an upgrade to the company’s flagship SIRIS line for enterprise business continuity, expansion of the ALTO family, designed to protect small and medium-sized businesses, and the addition of Datto NAS, the company’s first network-attached storage device. Enhancements to the SIRIS 2 and ALTO family deliver improved customer processing power and faster backup capabilities. Datto’s introduction of Virtual ALTO and Virtual SIRIS allows managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) to easily protect both virtual and physical customer servers. Designed to better serve its global partner base, the company’s new products will help MSPs increase their customer base and ensure strong recurring revenue.

New partner features
As a direct response to the market’s demand for more transparent cloud pricing and the manpower needed to manage data volume thresholds for billing, Datto unveiled its new time-based cloud retention (TBCR) for its channel partners, an industry first. Under the new TBCR model, the monthly cost for cloud-based storage is no longer variable based on volume, allowing its more than 8,000 global MSP customers to easily onboard new customers and reliably allocate time to manage billing processes. The company also announced three critical software alliances with Connectwise, GFI Maxand Servoyant to provide a more efficient dashboard experience for MSPs to monitor their Datto devices with each respective remote monitoring management (RMM) vendor.

Industry recognition
Datto and its executives also earned 67 awards in 2014, validating its commitment to its people, partners and technology, and strengthening its standing within the channel and data protection market. The company was listed to the Inc. 500 for the third consecutive year (ranking No. 1 in Connecticut).
