New building sets stage for growth of backup, disaster recovery solution leader

DRAPER, Utah – April 28, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — With the snip of a pair of scissors, a new era began for one of Utah’s fastest growing companies, StorageCraft Technology Corporation, as it officially opened its new corporate headquarters facility in Draper. The ribbon cutting ceremony marked the latest milestone for a company that began as a startup in 2003 and now has become a global leader in backup and disaster recovery of IT systems.

The 125,000-square-foot facility is the latest step in a major expansion for the backup and disaster recovery solution leader, which currently employs more than 240 in the United States, Europe and the Asia/Pacific region. The new headquarters facility has 182 employees and gives StorageCraft the ability to increase its Utah-based workforce to more than 400 during the next few years.

“StorageCraft is always diligently working to provide our partners and their customers with fast, reliable products to maintain access to their valuable data and IT systems,” said Jeff Shreeve, co-founder and chief executive officer. “The opening of our new headquarters is a testament to the efforts of our hard working employees, reliable products and the mutually beneficial relationships with our partners around the world.”

The new building, which was developed and is managed by Gardner Company and built by Jacobson Construction, is located in the Vista Station business park in Draper and exemplifies what StorageCraft preaches: backup and recovery. It is LEED certified and utilizes state-of-the-art systems for heating/cooling and power distribution and high availability, such as a 1.5 Megawatt generator that allows StorageCraft to run uninterrupted in just about any failure or disaster.

“This state-of-the-art building enhances our technical and operational capabilities and allows us to expand our talented team of professionals as we produce the next generation of award-winning and trusted products,” said Scott Barnes, co-founder and chief technology officer.

Initially, StorageCraft will occupy 75,000 square feet of the new facility, with the ability to expand up to 125,000 square feet to accommodate an additional 200 employees to bring the total to more than 600. The ground breaking ceremony for the new building occurred in May 2014, and the building was completed in March 2015.

Even though the building just opened, expansion of the StorageCraft workforce is already under way with numerous new positions open. As the company continues its growth, it will be adding employees in a broad range of areas in Utah, the rest of the United States, Europe and Japan. These areas include, but are not limited to, technical support, sales, engineering and marketing. Current and future Job opportunities can be found at http://storagecraft.applicantpro.com/jobs/.

Signs of the company’s success are not limited to North America. StorageCraft recently strengthened its presence in Europe with the opening of its new international headquarters in Cork, Ireland, and is opening a new office in Japan. The Cork office, which is also currently adding positions, supports StorageCraft’s network of master distributors throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.

The company’s award-winning products are being used in more than a million computer systems and servers, with sales taking place on six continents. During the past month, StorageCraft released the new StorageCraft ShadowProtect SPX for Linux and the next generation of StorageCraft Cloud Services.

Throughout the years, StorageCraft products have been recognized by analysts, partners and customers for their speed and reliability. In March, the company received its third-consecutive 5-Star rating in the CRN Partner Program Guide, an annual directory that is the definitive listing of technology vendors that service solution providers or provide products through the IT channel. In February, StorageCraft was named one of the 100 Coolest Cloud Vendors by CRN, and in January, StorageCraft earned the Best Channel Vendor award in the Business Continuity and Backup and Disaster Recovery category from Business Solutions magazine readers.
