CloudBerry Backup for Mac and CloudBerry Backup for Linux Enable End-Users to Protect Data Using Amazon S3

NEWPORT BEACH, CA – July 15, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — CloudBerry Lab™, a vendor of backup and management solutions for public cloud storage services, today announced the immediate availability of CloudBerry Backup for Mac and CloudBerry Backup for Linux. Both solutions enable end-users to back up to and restore data from Amazon S3 in a simple, wizard-driven interface that provides a robust feature set.

Main features of the new Mac and Linux support include:

  • File level backup and restore scheduling: Setup hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly backups or specify a custom schedule. Restoration is simple and fast, and may be sent to any device.
  • Encryption: Encrypt backups with up to 256-bit strong keys on source side. All data sent to the cloud is also encrypted using the SSL protocols to protect it while in transit.
  • Compression: Reduce data overhead, decrease storage costs, aid bandwidth and accelerate backup completion with optional compression.
  • Restore to a point in time: Users can back up to any previous version of a file, not just the latest backup.

“CloudBerry has built a strong reputation among SMBs for having the most reliable, simple-to-use and affordable data protection solution on the market for Windows machines,” said Alexey Serkov, CTO at CloudBerry Lab. “Now, we’re bringing these capabilities to Mac and Linux users. With CloudBerry, small businesses can easily and cost effectively back up their data on Macs and on Linux-based machines, confident that they are protected.”
