Increased Demand for Better Business Continuity Across the Region Triggers New Office and Team in Sydney

Norwalk, Conn. – November 4, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — Datto, an innovative provider of comprehensive data backup, recovery and business continuity solutions, today announced the company recently opened an Australian headquarters in Sydney to help meet the increasing global demand for its Total Data Protection platform. MSPs and VARs throughout Australia and New Zealand can now partner with Datto to protect their customers’ data on-prem, in the cloud, or anywhere in between.

Following Datto’s successful expansion into Europe, which resulted in explosive growth, the company is now developing a greater presence in Australia and New Zealand and has been building up its customer base throughout the area. With more than 20 partners currently, Datto is predicted to have more than 100 partners in the region by the end of this year.

Datto’s Australian office is located in Sydney’s Central Business District, the main economic center for the Asia Pacific region and home to some of Australia’s largest technology companies. Datto has a data center nearby in Alexandria, Australia. Additionally, James Bergl was recently appointed Datto’s ANZ Regional Manager. Bergl brings a wealth of experience to Datto, having worked with MSPs in the UK, Africa and across the Middle East before arriving in Australia two years ago. Prior to Datto, Bergl was a Regional Sales Manager with N-able Technologies where he led efforts to sell to and support a client base across ANZ and Asia.

According to Bergl “The Australian IT community is thriving, and businesses are increasingly focused on improving their data infrastructure with an emphasis on cloud adoption. But no matter where data lives, it needs protection. Australian companies can now rely on Datto to be up and running instantly after a natural or man-made disaster.”

“Prior to working with Datto, Addictive Technology Solutions was dealing with multiple vendors and products to ensure we had adequate backup solutions for our clients,” said Robert Marsden, Director at Addictive Technology Solutions. “Now that we’ve implemented Datto, we can rely on one vendor for a simple and seamless restore process. Datto is the first product I’ve worked with that can recover a client’s environment instantly, which gives our customers complete peace of mind.”

“Datto is meeting a crucial need for companies around the world – keeping their businesses running no matter what,” said Austin McChord, founder and CEO of Datto. “We’re looking forward to building our presence throughout the Asia Pacific region, supporting our partners and helping them continuously succeed. Our 160+ PB global cloud includes a data center local to Australia, so our partners and customers there will benefit from a fast, local connection to the Datto cloud.”

As Datto establishes its Australian roots, the company will host a series of roadshow events across several cities. During the event series, Datto will offer educational content and best practices for solution providers in addition to an exclusive look at Datto’s award-winning solutions:

  • Auckland: Thursday, November 19th at the Langham Hotel
