Company Accelerates into 2016 with the Opening of New Data Centers Across Three Continents Supporting 200 Petabyte Cloud

NORWALK, CONN. – April 21, 2016 — /BackupReview.info/ — Datto, the innovative provider of comprehensive data backup, recovery and business continuity solutions, today announced the company’s aggressive pace of growth continued into 2016. The company plans to build on its continued success with further expansion abroad, the introduction of new solutions, and an increased focus on building the Datto brand and creating demand for Datto partners.

Expanding Data Protection Around the World
During the first quarter, Datto continued its rapid international expansion by opening three new data centers to meet the needs of MSPs wishing to store and replicate their customers’ data within specific regions. The new data centers in Germany, Canada, and Singapore bring Datto’s data center total to nine and expand Datto’s geographic redundancy capabilities beyond the United States to Canada, Europe and Asia Pacific (APAC). Data is stored in Datto’s secure, purpose-built cloud, now with more than 200 petabytes.

Expanding Datto’s Solutions
Datto added several noteworthy features to its solutions in the first few months of 2016. Expanding Datto’s protection for data across SaaS applications, Datto’s Microsoft Office 365 backup solution now includes backup capabilities for OneDrive. Backup for SharePoint will be released in Q2, 2016.

Increasing the flexibility and scalability of Datto’s popular SIRIS, the company recently introduced agentless backup. Businesses relying on SIRIS for protection of their data now have an agent-based or agentless backup option. Datto offers customers complete choice, protecting physical and virtual servers from a single product, which is available in a physical or virtual appliance, now with agent-based or agentless options.

Expanding Recognition in the Channel and Beyond
In the first quarter of 2016, Datto was recognized across the channel and the greater IT industry with more than 20 awards for product excellence, channel program quality, technical support, and more. During the 2015 Reseller Choice Awards in Canada, Datto took home a record eight awards including “Best Overall Vendor” and at the inaugural Cloud Girl Rising Awards, Datto’s Channel Engagement Manager, Samantha Ciaccia was recognized as a female leader in the channel.

Datto was once again recognized as a top workplace in the state of Connecticut. The Hartford Business Journal named Datto one of the Best Places to Work in CT in 2016. List inclusion criteria included company growth, investment in employees, benefits, work/life balance, and more. This was the second consecutive year that Datto made the list.

“The first few months of the year have been a clear indication that 2016 is going to be a breakout year for Datto,” said R. Brooks Borcherding, Chief Revenue Officer, Datto. “We’re continuing to build momentum with the close of another record quarter. Looking forward, we’re bringing several incredibly exciting products to market this year and investing more resources than ever in growing Datto abroad. In addition, the Datto brand will get a major boost in 2016 and our partners will directly benefit from the increased exposure.”
