Tintri Showcases Latest Advances in Enterprise Cloud at Microsoft Ignite

Demonstrates Deep Integration with Microsoft Ecosystem

Tintri Cloud Connector, Tintri Analytics and the new highly scalable all-flash EC6000 series will be presented at Booth 519.

As a gold sponsor at this year’s event, Tintri will demonstrate its deep integration with the Microsoft ecosystem to help joint customers automate storage management, scale easily, and enable enterprise cloud benefits.

Launched in early September, the all-flash EC6000 series applies analytics and machine learning to optimize every aspect of operation. That includes assigning precise quality of service to each application and ensuring every virtual machine is placed across a pool for the most efficient use of storage resources. With the EC6000, an organization can scale from 19TB to 40PB and manage up to 480,000 virtual machines with a single operating system and management platform. This new series will support workloads from small departments to company-wide enterprise cloud infrastructures.

Organizations use Tintri storage to support mixed, virtualized workloads—server, VDI, private cloud and development and test—that include Microsoft applications such as SQL Server, Exchange and SharePoint. Tintri natively supports Microsoft’s Server Message Block (SMB) 3.0 protocol and integrates with Microsoft Hyper-V Manager and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). Tintri is also certified for the latest Microsoft Windows environments and for Microsoft applications.

Highly differentiated capabilities available to joint customers include:
·      Offloaded data transfer (ODX)—allows Hyper-V storage live migrations to be offloaded from the VM host to Tintri storage systems, improving performance and efficiency.

·      Tintri SCVMM Add-in—enables cloud administrators who are building an on-premises Microsoft cloud to manage their Tintri storage as part of a unified infrastructure directly from the SCVMM console. Customers can view Tintri predictive analytics to optimize capacity and performance and perform tasks from within SCVMM.

·      Tintri SCOM Management Pack—makes it easier for administrators to access Tintri metrics and alerts as a part of infrastructure monitoring through the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) platform.

·      Tintri Automation Toolkit—includes a set of cmdlets for Windows PowerShell that assists in task automation and serves as a Command Line Interface (CLI) and high-level API. These cmdlets let IT administrators and developers easily perform a wide variety of tasks and integrate components from other vendors within PowerShell scripts.

In addition to the product innovations, the company continues to expand its relationship with Microsoft. Tintri achieved certification in the Microsoft Private Cloud Fast Track program and is part of the Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance.
