SUNNYVALE, Calif. – March 05, 2018 — /BackupReview.info/ — Druva. Inc., the industry-leading data management as-a-service platform company, today announced that Druva inSync is the first and only data protection solution to be on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Approved Products List (APL).

According to the DHS, the CDM Program provides DHS, along with other federal agencies, with the capabilities and tools that identify cybersecurity risks on an ongoing basis to prioritize these risks based on potential impacts and enable cybersecurity personnel to mitigate the most significant problems first. Congress established the CDM program to provide adequate, risk-based and cost-effective cybersecurity and more efficiently allocate cybersecurity resources.

In addition to providing its comprehensive data protection for mitigating risk for today’s critical government data, Druva is committed to looking ahead at what will be required to meet the May 11, 2017 Presidential Executive Order on Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure.

“Druva provides government agencies, whether federal, state or local, peace of mind that their critical data is being protected,” said Darron Makrokanis, vice president, Federal, Druva. “We’re proud to have achieved this milestone that demonstrates the trust that the government has placed in Druva, and, especially as we are the first and only data protection solution to be so chosen.”

Along with its recent FedRAMP Authorization, Druva has recently achieved Provisional Authorization (PA) by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for Impact Level (IL) 2 workloads. This validates that Druva’s AWS GovCloud (US) environment as being a viable and secure option for enabling Department of Defense (DoD) customers and contractors to effectively adopt Druva’s “Cloud First” approach as a reality, whether they are looking for PaaS, IaaS or SaaS-based services.

“We congratulate Druva on this achievement and look forward to helping government agencies and our reseller partners protect their vital data with Druva’s solutions which are now included on the DHS APL list,” said Brian O’Donnell, vice president of cybersecurity solutions for Carahsoft Technology Corp., Druva’s public sector distribution partner. “Druva is one of our valued partners, and we welcome this opportunity to work with the Druva team to better secure government information.”
