BOSTON, MA — April 17, 2020 — /BackupReview.info/ — Jim Lippie, senior vice president of partner development and general manager at Kaseya®, the leading provider of complete IT infrastructure management solutions for both managed service providers (MSPs) and internal IT departments, has been appointed to the CompTIA Business Applications Advisory Council. The CompTIA Business Applications Advisory Council is a group of thought leaders and subject matter experts representing cloud software platforms and applications. Members provide valuable insight that helps develop resources and tools to help achieve specific business objectives and advance the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry.

“I’m honored to join this council. CompTIA continues to serve as the leading voice for the information technology ecosystem and as a hub for advancing the tech industry,” said Lippie. “As a member of the council, I look forward to contributing to impactful industry initiatives and to sharing knowledge that fosters community and innovation. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow council members to address industry trends and issues affecting the SaaS market, and to developing new strategies and best practices to better the industry as a whole.”

A seasoned, self-motivated leader with a proven track record, Lippie has a unique perspective on the channel. Prior to Kaseya, Lippie served as CEO of Thrive Networks, a Boston based MSP that experienced exponential growth during his tenure. In 2006, Thrive was purchased by Staples, which was the first major MSP acquisition in the industry. Following his leadership of Thrive, Lippie served as president of IndependenceIT (iIT) helping the company to become one of the fastest growing cloud desktop companies. At iIT, Lippie built a foundation for success, growing the partner base over 250 percent and increasing revenue nearly 300 percent over 18 months. He later founded the consultancy, Clarity Channel Advisors where his team helped hundreds of MSPs increase sales and profits by leveraging a cloud first strategy. As GM and senior vice president at Kaseya, Lippie oversees the company’s global MSP community and is responsible for partner development.

Over the years, Lippie has become a strong and outspoken advocate for the channel. His passion to help sustain the channel is what led Lippie to form Clarity Channel Advisors. He now dedicates his experience to helping all of the companies in the MSP channel ecosystem.

As a member of the CompTIA Business Applications Advisory Council, Lippie will focus on exploring the benefits and opportunities created through SaaS, applications and cloud solutions, as well as work with CompTIA’s other industry advisory councils to further enable opportunities and partnerships around the IT channel, drones, blockchain and internet of things. Lippie’s work will support the council’s main objectives, which include:

  • Exploring new routes to market and developing use cases that accelerate success
  • Studying innovative methods to create, deliver and support business applications
  • Fostering greater adoption and expansion of emerging technologies
