New service offers Uniserver partners scalability and the guarantee of a Dutch data center

Alkmaar – December 11, 2020 — /BackupReview.info/ — Uniserver, the Dutch cloud distributor, is partnering with Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage, the international storage service provider, to deliver Uniserver’s new Storage-as-a-Service S3 service. With the new solution, Uniserver offers managed service providers, independent software vendors, and enterprise customers a flexible, cost-efficient solution for file storage, archiving, and backup data in the Dutch cloud.

Scalable object-based storage
The STaaS S3 solution complements Uniserver’s existing IaaS services, providing additional storage capabilities for specific, data-intensive applications such as archiving. The service uses the S3 protocol for object-based storage developed by Amazon Web Services and is therefore fully compatible with other S3 storage services. Thanks to the storage provision of Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage, the new solution offers an S3 data bucket for object-based storage that is flexibly scalable. In addition, the STaaS data can be secured by means of immutable data buckets, so that changing or deletion of data can be prevented.

Local data center
With the new solution, Uniserver partners will have access to a local STaaS facility, delivered by a Dutch cloud provider from a data center in Amsterdam, with an availability of 99.9 percent. They also benefit from a transparent pricing model. For example, Uniserver does not distinguish between storage tiers and it works without additional costs for network traffic, for example.

“Our partnership with Uniserver is meaningful because of the unique value they bring to Managed Service Providers,” said Richard Czech, Director of EMEA Sales. “Uniserver has extensive knowledge and experience of the market and with Wasabi hot cloud storage will bring affordable, fast, and secure data storage to its customers. Through this partnership, we will continue to grow and scale at a rapid rate throughout Europe.”

Ernst Kolmeijer, Lead Product Manager at Uniserver: “Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage is an international player in cloud storage, and we are proud to be one of the few Dutch organizations to work with them. One of the main reasons for the collaboration is that Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage has such large storage platforms that the solution offers infinite scalability, an important advantage for our partners. In addition, Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage assures us that all data is and remains stored in the Netherlands. This offers us and our partners and customers optimal reliability. ”
