Premier Internet2 NET+ endpoint backup provider joined by customers University of Notre Dame, The University of Alabama and The Ohio State University to discuss innovative solutions for higher education’s unique IT challenges

Held April 6-10 in Denver, Colo., the 2014 Internet2 Global Summit focuses on building a global platform of advanced network, cloud, and trust solutions to transform higher education IT operations.

Code42’s award-winning CrashPlan enterprise endpoint backup solution was selected in 2013 by Internet2 to be its preferred provider of online backup services to universities nationwide via Internet2’s NET+ initiative. In the past year, Code42 has partnered with NET+ to offer CrashPlan to a growing number of Internet2 member institutions.

Via three sessions at this week’s annual conference, Code42 and several customers will share insights gained through the program’s significant momentum:

  • April 7, 4:30-5:30pm — “Internet2 NET+ Provider Executive Panel”
    Matthew Dornquast, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Code42, is featured on a panel with senior executives from NET+ service providers Verizon Terremark and Desire2Learn.
  • April 8, 5:00-5:30pm — “NET+ CrashPlan”
    Ryan Gruening, director of channel sales for Code42, will be joined onstage by Code42 customers University of Notre Dame, The University of Alabama in Huntsville and The Ohio State University to discuss how CrashPlan meets the special data protection and disaster recovery needs of educational institutions.
  • April 9, 11:45am-1:15pm — Industry Roundtable: Protecting Data on Faculty/Staff Laptops—Internet2 NET+ CrashPlan for the Mobile Workforce
    Ryan Gruening will facilitate this roundtable discussing the many ways Internet2 NET+ members are already using CrashPlan to protect critical university data created and stored on laptops and desktops.
