2BrightSparks releases SyncBack Version 7 and SyncBack Touch, giving home and business users the ability to backup your computer and synchronize files from Windows, Mac OSX and Android endpoints to and between a host of cloud and traditional storage media.
SINGAPORE – October 28, 2014 — /BackupReview.info/ — Covering the multitude of desktops, laptops, phones and tablets used across homes and businesses, and integrating into a strong cloud backup and synchronization framework, 2BrightSparks unveiled Version 7 of its SyncBack backup and synchronization software today and released SyncBack Touch, a new endpoint agent.
SyncBackPro added cloud support for DropBox, Box, OneDrive, Google Drive and Glacier via S3, allowing business and individuals to backup your computer and synchronize to and between cloud services and traditional storage media. Both Pro and SE include a 20% improvement in scan performance, smarter FTP handling allowing resuming uploads or downloads, the ability to send Pushover notifications to iOS, Android and OS X devices along with other PCs, and the ability to opt-in to Runtime Intelligence which sends non-user specific data back to 2BrightSparks on the features used.
SyncBack Touch further enables homes and businesses to backup and synchronize data that resides on devices including Android phones and tablets and OS X machines, with the aim of adding other iOS devices. SyncBack Touch resides on these endpoint devices and connects to SyncBack Pro or SE for backup and synchronization. Says Michael Leaver, Technical Director at 2BrightSparks: “With only 20% of data managed in databases, the rest is on endpoints including desktops, laptops, tablets and phones. SyncBack Touch now allows families and business to safeguard important information, whether it is photographic memories or business critical communications regardless of what type of device it is on.” 2BrightSparks further enables businesses to manage their corporate data through the SyncBack Management Service which ties together SyncBackPro and SyncBack Touch installations across large user bases.
Free 30 day trials of SE and Pro can be found at http://www.2brightsparks.com/products.html. Comments Mike de Sousa, Creative Director at 2BrightSparks: “We have always strongly supported the ‘try before you buy’ approach, and users can do that through the free trials or by using SyncBackFree, a scaled down version of the product.”
