Box Announces Two New Office Integrations For Cross-Platform Collaboration

LOS ALTOS, CA – February 17, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — Box today announced two powerful new integrations with Microsoft Office that enable businesses to seamlessly access content from any device or platform, making it easy for them to collaborate more effectively in the cloud. Box joins Citrix and Salesforce as inaugural members in Microsoft’s new Cloud Storage Partner Program, and Box will support native integrations for both Office for iPad and iPhone as well as for Office Online.

“We’re excited to deepen our commitment to openness in the enterprise through Microsoft’s new program,” said Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box. “We’re committed to delivering innovation that puts the customer first and allows enterprises to choose the tools they want to be successful.”

Box supports Microsoft’s commitment to providing people with more ways to collaborate and manage content in Office. These new integrations enable users to open, edit and save documents back to Box from directly within Office for iOS, and establish a more seamless connection between Box and Office Online. Additionally, these integrations work in conjunction to Box’s existing Office 365 integration for the desktop, and the recently announced Outlook for iPhone and iPad; both of which were built through Office 365’s open platform for all developers.

“The Cloud Storage Partner Program exhibits our commitment to make Office more extensible,” said Kirk Koenigsbauer, CVP, Office 365 Client Apps and Services. “It’s a great opportunity for storage providers to enhance their existing solutions with productivity applications used by more than one billion people for communication, document creation and collaboration.”

More than 44,000 paying businesses, including 48% of the Fortune 500 and 32 million users trust Box as their platform for business productivity and enterprise content collaboration. This connectivity will help people have a more seamless experience with content from any platform and location.
