Hundreds of participating organizations have identified how they can save 50 percent on storage cost and management time with VM-Aware storage (VAS)

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – November 4, 2015 — /BackupReview.info/ — Tintri, a leading producer of VM-Aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, today expanded its “Time is Money” program globally due to popular response. The program provides a virtualized environment health check for enterprises and cloud service providers—using diagnostics of an organization’s virtual footprint.

The “Time is Money” program was launched earlier this year to provide an easy way for organizations to understand how they can take control of their storage. Within just four weeks, hundreds of organizations shared data about their storage footprint and virtual machines—totaling more than 55,000 virtual machines. On average, these organizations realized opportunities to reduce their next storage spend by more than 50 percent, and to decrease the time spent managing storage by more than 80 percent when compared to conventional, LUN-based storage. The “Time is Money” program proves that what they say about VM-Aware storage is true: The VAS is greener.

To participate in the program, organizations run a simple diagnostic tool that captures information about its virtual footprint. They then send the results to Tintri. Once received, Tintri experts analyze vital stats and identify areas of over-provisioning and under-performance. Tintri then summarizes the information into an easily consumable, actionable format and presents the results to the organizations in person. As a thank-you for investing their time to run the diagnostic and attend the review, Tintri sends participating customers a drone or Apple Watch.

“Many organizations have accepted that storage is supposed to be costly, cumbersome and difficult to manage. Tintri VM-Aware Storage proves it doesn’t have to be that way,” said Yael Zheng, Chief Marketing Officer at Tintri. “We started this program to show customers exactly how much capital and management expenses the right storage can save them; so far, hundreds of organizations have seen the difference. As legacy players falter and mega mergers create uncertainty, we’re excited to extend the program to hundreds of new organizations around the world.”

The larger an organization’s virtual footprint, the more significant the impact. The “Time is Money” program is limited to non-Tintri customers using VMware vSphere with at least 25 TB of virtualized disks and/or 250 virtual machines. The program runs through December 31, 2015—or while supplies last.
