BELLEVUE, WA – Jan. 04, 2017 — /BackupReview.info/ — Synology Inc., a leading maker of network-attached storage, will exhibit their latest technologies to empower homes and businesses to store, protect, share, and work with their data at CES 2017.
Synology will showcase its latest wireless router RT2600ac — the successor to the RT1900ac which earned the CES 2016 Innovation Honoree Award. Equipped with 2.5Gbps combined wireless bandwidth and MU-MIMO support, RT2600ac is powered by the Synology Router Manager (SRM) operating system, which allows users to easily monitor and control bandwidth consumption, protect their network with intelligent tools, and install useful applications, like VPN Plus, Cloud Station, and more.
Visitors can also explore DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6.1, the operating system for Synology’s popular NAS series, discover a collection of productivity tools to enhance team collaboration, or learn about setting up a home video surveillance system with Surveillance Station 8.0 and the new, native Surveillance Station Client for desktop computers. In addition, Synology will show off several new business-oriented products, such as the FS3017, DS3617xs, RS4017xs+ and RS18017xs+.
For those seeking the latest innovations in storage management and reliability, Synology and Seagate Technology announced they are working together to bring IronWolf Health Manager (IHM) to Synology’s DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6.1 natively. This feature leverages the hardware sensors and software suite built into IronWolf™ HDDs to provide intelligent analysis of drive health that goes beyond traditional diagnostic tools. Upon launch, this feature will be exclusively available on Synology NAS.
“Synology strives to develop powerful solutions for everyday tech problems, like getting the most out of your wi-fi router, sharing files with friends or coworkers, or just making sure your photos and videos are backed up and well protected,” said Alex Wang, CEO of Synology America. “We’re excited to show off our latest solutions at CES and to cooperate with our friends at Seagate in order to achieve these goals.”
Matt Rutledge, senior vice president of storage at Seagate, commented, “The Seagate and Synology partnership is raising the bar for NAS storage even further. Seagate’s IronWolf NAS-optimized specialty drives and IronWolf Health Management is one of many steps by Seagate and Synology to deliver the best possible NAS user experience.”
