SCSi is a service consultancy and system integrator based in Thailand and established in 1994. SCSi’s virtual infrastructure consists of 255 virtual machines, which store various applications, operating systems, files, and databases. In the past, critical data was protected via backup to tape and offsite tape cartridges at SCSi’s premises. The main issue with tapes was that the backup process was extremely long, and errors were a common occurrence. The entire backup could take up to 24 hours and sometimes could only be done every other day. Pretty much, failed backups and failed recoveries were a headache for the IT team. In addition, replication and incremental backups were not possible with this approach to data protection.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication provides fast incremental backups, multiple recovery options, replication, and simple backup administration. With backup to tape, backups could only be completed in 24 hours, and incremental backups were not possible. With VM replication, SCSi can create multiple VM replicas of source VMs and store them at their disaster recovery site. This replica at a remote site helps SCSi ensure high availability if a disruption occurs at the main site.
