Award-winning advanced security software now available in Central Premier

BOSTON, MA – Aug. 16, 2016 — / — LogMeIn, Inc. and Kaspersky Lab today announced a new partnership that will provide LogMeIn Central Premier customers with a complementary license of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows. As part of the partnership, the two companies will create an integration between the two offerings, giving Central Premier customers better insight and control over their managed computers and new third party patch management functionality. Managed completely through a centralized dashboard within Central, users will be able to view and manage anti-virus status for all computers and workstations, and provide patch updates to third party software such as Adobe, Chrome, Java, and more. As a result, IT managers and MSPs will be equipped with a solution that combines their IT automation and advanced malware protection needs into a single tool for easier, more efficient management.

A leader in anti-virus protection, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows includes advanced security for workstations and defends against viruses and malware. LogMeIn Central is a powerful web-based console giving IT the control needed to remotely monitor and manage all of their computers easily and securely. With Central, every computer in the workspace is equipped with premium remote access and enabled with productivity enhancing features so employees can work from virtually anywhere.

The Kaspersky anti-malware software can be installed directly from the Central anti-virus dashboard onto one or multiple endpoints in the background without user interruption.

“Reliable security software is measured on its ability to detect threats both accurately and quickly, which is where Kaspersky Lab excels. For internal IT teams managing computers and for MSPs supporting clients, there is no time for downtime, whether it’s due to a day-to-day problem, a security threat, or outdated software,” said Jonathan Borthwick, Senior Director of Products, IAM at LogMeIn. “We believe that this integration with Kaspersky Lab security solutions will take Central from a value-based remote management tool to a complete automation tool with improved insight and new functionality designed to remediate those security issues, supplying our customers with the most reliable management and automation software to keep their computers up and running.”

The integration to support third party patching will allow IT teams and MSPs to keep their systems up-to-date with critical software automatically, without having to push updates on individual computers.

Availability & Pricing
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows will be available in Central Premier, for Microsoft Windows operating systems, at no additional cost to new and current users. It will first be integrated into Central Premier accounts in a beta launch at the end of August, and is expected to be fully integrated in September. Third party patch management will also be available in Central Premier and is expected to be launched in early 2017.
