New Version of reevert Firmware Supports Microsoft Azure Platform and Azure Blob Cloud Storage

GLENDALE, CA – December 11, 2019 — / — Cyberthreats remain a consistent issue as cybercriminals become more advanced in their targeted ransomware attacks on businesses, organizations, and government agencies. For this reason, reevert stays up to date with firmware upgrades to deliver improved storage capabilities that keep users’ data protected in the event of a ransomware strike.

Reevert firmware version adds functionality to manage and support locally authenticated users, expands image backup mount capabilities, and lets users enforce an image backup mode while performing manual backups. The workgroup edition has been upgraded to benefit from the locally authenticated users feature.

This update also introduces support for the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform – available soon on the Azure Marketplace. In addition, reevert now officially supports Azure Cloud Storage to store users’ off-site backups.

“Supporting the Azure Cloud platform extends reevert’s protection territory deeper into the cloud space. Azure cloud storage becomes an additional option that customers can pick to store their off-site backups,” says Alan Baghumian, Co-founder and Architect of reevert. Reevert’s Co-founder Ara Aslanian also comments, “Adding Microsoft Azure support is something our customers have been asking for, and we’re thrilled to have met the growing demand.”

Alongside this major update, reevert now provides improved support for Google Cloud Storage by adding AES-256 encryption.

The cloud panel has also been updated to include support for scheduled cloud commands as well as many minor usability fixes and improvements.

Finally, with additional system enhancements and global firmware performance improvements in place, this firmware update delivers all the necessary elements for exceptional data storage protection.

“Our mission is to continue to improve reevert’s capabilities and become a leader in the data protection marketplace.”
