Murphy brings 25 years of hands-on sales experience and a track record of success in high growth environments, including EMC and Riverbed Technology. Murphy will lead an established team of global sales leaders as the company doubles down on sales and channel routes-to-market to accelerate customer acquisition across the enterprise and cloud service provider segments of the market.

Prior to joining Nimble, Murphy, 50, served in executive sales leadership roles at Nicira, Inc. and Riverbed Technology. While at Riverbed, Murphy served as senior vice president of sales for the Americas region, where he designed, developed and executed Riverbed’s sales model and built a high-performance sales leadership team focused on execution and customer satisfaction. Over his eight year tenure he played a pivotal role in growing Riverbed’s revenue base from $0 to $800 million. Prior to Riverbed, Murphy served in sales and channel management roles at BlueArc Corporation, EMC and Mercury Interactive.
