“We are thrilled to have George join the StorONE executive team with all Storage Switzerland employees,” said Gal Naor, StorONE co-founder and CEO. “I have followed his phenomenal analysis of the storage market for 25 years and worked with him for much of that time. He has always been the champion of innovative technologies that meet new challenges data centers face. The fact that he has elected to join our team validates that George sees StorONE as one of the technologies that will change the storage landscape. He’s a great addition to our team and will lead worldwide marketing as we continue driving the positive momentum we have.”

Crump and the former Storage Switzerland team will spearhead the effort launching StorONE’s new Enterprise Storage Platform, an evolution in Software-Defined Storage that radically simplifies and drives down the cost of storage infrastructures while dramatically improving performance.

“In my 12 years as a storage analyst, there were only a handful of companies that I thought were highly differentiated,” said Crump. “StorONE is the leader of that group, and I look forward to helping them explain to customers the unique value and advantages that the solution can bring to the enterprise data center.”

StorONE and Crump’s primary initiative is the S1 Enterprise Storage Platform, also launched today. The customer-focused solution takes a platform approach to enterprise storage infrastructure, offering a single solution that works with all standard commodity servers. S1 Enterprise Storage Platform supports all storage media types, protocols, and interfaces while lowering storage costs and improving overall performance.

“We want to make IT Professionals the heroes of their organizations, and the S1 Storage Platform makes that possible,” said Crump.
